يُعد برنامج بكالوريوس التغذية العلاجية والحميات أحد البرامج الأساسية التي يقدمها قسم العلوم الصحية بكلية الطب والعلوم الصحية في جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا، ويمنح درجة البكالوريوس في علوم التغذية العلاجية والحميات. يهدف البرنامج إلى إعداد خريجين يمتلكون معرفة علمية وعملية متخصصة لفهم العلاقة الحيوية بين الغذاء وصحة الإنسان. يركّز البرنامج على استخدام التغذية كوسيلة علاجية فعّالة في الوقاية وإدارة الأمراض المزمنة المرتبطة بنمط الحياة مثل داء السكري، السمنة، وأمراض القلب والأوعية الدموية، حيث يكتسب الطلبة فهماً عميقاً لكيفية التداخل الغذائي مع هذه الحالات لتحسين جودة الحياة وتعزيز الصحة. كما يولي البرنامج اهتمامًا خاصًا بالجوانب المجتمعية والسلوكية المتعلقة بالصحة والتغذية، ويعزز وعي الطالب بأنماط التغذية السليمة ودورها في الوقاية والتدخل العلاجي. يشمل البرنامج مقررات علمية متقدمة وتدريبًا سريريًا وتأهيليًا في مؤسسات صحية معتمدة، بما يضمن تأهيل خريجين قادرين على العمل في مختلف قطاعات الرعاية الصحية والمجتمعية. ويشكل قاعدة أكاديمية للالتحاق بالدراسات العليا في مجال علوم التغذية.

University mission:

The Bachelor of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics program at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology seeks to prepare a cadre with high practical and professional competencies in specialization and to contribute to the development of clinical nutrition research and services in the community through a distinguished educational environment and modern curricula with efficient and distinguished academic and administrative staff using the latest modern educational means According to quality standards and academic accreditation.

Course Plan

يتوزع برنامج التغذية العلاجية والحميات على أربع سنوات دراسية (8 مستويات) بمجموع 138  ساعة معتمدة، تُغطي علوم التغذية والحميات. صمم برنامج بكالوريوس التغذية العلاجية والحميات بأسلوب تدريجي ومنهجي، يُراعي تسلسل المعرفة من الأساسيات العلمية إلى المهارات التخصصية المتقدمة،  يتلقى الطالب خلال سنوات الدراسة تدريبات عملية في مختبرات الكلية وعيادات التغذية، ويتضمن البرنامج تدريبًا ميدانيًا سريريًا في المستشفيات والمراكز الصحية ومنظمات المجتمع المحلي ، يُغطي مجالات التغذية العلاجية والتغذية المجتمعية،  بإشراف متخصصين معتمدين، وذلك لتعزيز المهارات التطبيقية في بيئة واقعية.
كما يُلزم الطالب بإعداد مشروع تخرج تطبيقي، يُقيَّم من قبل لجنة أكاديمية.
يُدرس البرنامج بمزيج لغوي، حيث تُستخدم اللغة الإنجليزية في المقررات التخصصية، بينما تُدرس بعض المقررات الجامعية الداعمة بالعربية لضمان توازن المعرفة والفهم لدى الطالب.

  • Enhance students' thinking and problem solving skills through research and effective communication that enable them to deal with various nutritional issues.
  • Providing a teaching and learning environment that keeps pace with professional and technological progress.
  • Strengthening the relationship with all parties related to the specialty.

Admission and registration requirements

  1. . The college accepts high school holders in the Republic of Yemen, or its equivalent, at the rate determined annually by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
  2. Submit all the required documents, certified with the application for admission to the university, to the Admission and Registration Department.
  3. Admission is made according to the capacity specified by the university and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
  4. The student undertakes to abide by the regulations, instructions and regulations of the university in force during the study.
  5. Students enrolled in some college programs are subject to differentiation tests, which are a criterion for college admission, and this is done through placement determination, a personal interview, as well as a GPA competition and an admission test.

Documents required for high school graduates:

  1. The application form for admission (admission) with all the information included in it completed, in accordance with the conditions of the university.
  2. The original certified high school certificate or its equivalent, accompanied by a true copy.
  3. If the secondary school is from outside Yemen, it will be baptized (original + copy) from the following authorities:
  • The Ministry of Education in the country from which the certificate was issued.
  • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country from which the certificate is issued.
  • Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in the country from which the certificate is issued.
  • The Yemeni Foreign Ministry in Aden.

 If the high school diploma is from a non-Arab country, it will be translated after ratification and ratification of the translated copy (according to Paragraph No. 3 above), in addition to its equivalency at the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Yemen.

  1. A copy of the personal or family card for Yemeni students.
  2. Six personal photos (4×6) with a white front background.
  3. Photocopies of the first eight pages of the passport (for non-Yemenis), provided that the passport is valid for more than one year, with a record of residing in Yemen for at least one year.
