Program Overview

The Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery Program was established in 1994, and is considered one of the first programs at the University of Science and Technology, as the first batch graduated in 1999. The first three batches graduating from dentistry at the university are considered the first at the level of public and private universities in Yemen.

The courses included in the program are prepared and implemented according to the quality system adopted by the university in accordance with international quality systems.

The program primarily aims to graduate a cadre capable of providing therapeutic and research services in the community, with the knowledge, various skills, and theoretical and applied experiences it has acquired.

Course Plan

The program plan includes 196 credit hours spread over 10 semesters, between university requirements, college requirements, compulsory specialization requirements, and optional ones. The duration of study in this program is five years, after which the student obtains a bachelor’s degree in oral and dental medicine and surgery as an accredited certificate at the local, regional and international levels.

نشأ قسم بكالوريوس علوم المختبرات الطبية في فرع الجامعة بحضرموت في العام الدراسي 2013/2014م كحاجة ماسة للمساهمة في رفد المؤسسات الطبية بكادر تشخيصي مؤهل، ونظراً لكثرة الأعداد من خريجي الثانوية والدبلوم العالي ورغبتهم في الحصول على شهادة البكالوريوس في تخصص المختبرات الطبية، بالإضافة إلى توفير عناء السفر خارج المحافظة للطلاب الراغبين في الدراسة ويعتبر تخصص علوم المختبرات الطبية أحد التخصصات في قسم العلوم الطبية بالفرع وهو برنامج أكاديمي من حيث التوصيف يتبع قسم العلوم الصحية بكلية الطب والعلوم الصحية بالمركز الرئيسي بصنعاء وهو يمنح درجة البكالوريوس في علوم المختبرات الطبية ومدة الدراسة فيه أربع سنوات بعد الثانوية.
