In light of the increasing interest that the University of Science and Technology in Yemen pays to developing human resources in our local community in the field of higher education, which annually provides the community with qualified and specialized cadres, the University of Science and Technology - Hadhramaut Branch was opened in the academic year 2000/2001 AD, starting with the distance learning system in the city of Mukalla, which began with seven specializations: (Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, History, Media, Sharia and Law, Accounting and Business Administration)). In the year 2002/2003 AD, the Accounting Department was opened (regular), then the branch headquarters moved to the Buaish area.
In the academic year 2003/2004, a specialization in marketing (distance learning) was opened. In the year 2004/2005, a specialization was opened: ((The Qur’an and its Sciences and Sociology)), and in the year 2005/2006, the specializations were opened: ((Psychology - International Trade - Financial Management - Human Resources Management - and then all specializations of the distance learning system were opened, which amounted to 20 specializations)).

Program Overview
The Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery Program was established in 1994, and it is considered one of the first programs at the University of Science and Technology, where the first class graduated in 1999, and the first three batches graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry at the university are considered the first at the level of public and private universities in Yemen.
The courses included in the program are prepared and applied according to the quality system adopted by the university in accordance with international quality systems.
