Prof.Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed - Acting President of the University, this morning, Tuesday, corresponding to 10.19.2021, a reception ceremony was held for new students (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences; Pharmacy, Laboratories, Nutrition), in the presence of the Assistant President of the University, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, Dr. Muammar Al-Qutaibi, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Fayez Al-Tamimi, heads of departments, and a number of academics. 

The ceremony began with verses from the Noble Qur’an, followed by the student, Al-Hafiz Abdullah Muhammad, and then Prof. Dr. Abdul-Ghani Hamid Ahmed, the acting president of the university, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the students and all attendees, and congratulated everyone on the glorious anniversary of the fourteenth of October, and in the spirit of the father and the teacher spoke to his students In guiding words, he urged them to strive hard and to play their expected role in serving their community, their families and their country, and stated that the university leadership would overcome all difficulties for them, and would provide all the needs and capabilities so that they could obtain a sophisticated education that kept pace with scientific developments in all fields, and that the university was focusing all its attention on all its outputs. With high quality and distinguished, wishing everyone success in concluding his speech.

The ceremony included many technical paragraphs, and included an introductory reportage presentation about the university, after which the welcoming speech was given by the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Fayez Al-Tamimi, then the students’ speech in which the student Muhammad Al-Walidi spoke on behalf of the university students, welcoming the new students, and urging his colleagues to be serious and diligent, and to touch all the ways of excellence provided by the university, noting that the possibilities that the university provides to students is a dream for many students .

The event concluded with an artistic segment that was well received by the attendees.

It is noteworthy that this ceremony comes as a closing event for the activities of the week for the reception of new students, which is held by the university as an annual tradition aimed at preparing students for the university stage, as it includes the essential topics that students must be familiar with at the beginning of their university career.
