The First Science and Development Conference in Yemen

The activities of the first science and development conference in Yemen, which was held under the auspices of a. Dr.. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Yemen in Malaysia, with the participation of the University of Science and Technology - Aden and its two branches in the governorates of Taiz and Hadramout, and other Yemeni and Malaysian universities.
The conference is considered the first in terms of its title, the diversity of its topics, and the number of scientific participations in it. The number of scientific papers presented in it reached more than 161 research papers, including about 35 papers presented by faculty members at the University of Science and Technology, the main center of Aden, and its two branches in Taiz. Medina and Hadhramaut.
The aim of the conference is to actively participate in providing solutions to development problems at the national level, and to contribute to the exchange of experiences between Yemeni researchers and scholars at home and abroad, and to benefit from the knowledge, practices and development experiences in various countries of the world, and to localize what is commensurate with the local reality. In this context, the University of Science and Technology actively participated in this conference, and in the various axes of the conference.
The conference received wide praise from attendees from various universities at home and abroad, and the participating researchers and scientists considered it an important beginning to gather scientific efforts from various disciplines and environments in an integrated project aimed at achieving sustainable development for the country, and providing scientific solutions to the problems rooted in various fields, stressing that the scientific method It is the sure way to improve nations and societies. The conference came out with a set of important recommendations, which will represent programs and a mechanism of action for universities in the future.
