Meeting of the President of the University with the Ambassador of Yemen in Tunisia

met a. Dr.. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, President of the University of Science and Technology, Ambassador of Yemen to Tunisia, His Excellency Prof. Abdel Nasser Bahabib, on Wednesday morning, corresponding to 03/22/2023 AD, at the Embassy of our country in the Republic of Tunisia.
During the meeting, the President of the University gave His Excellency the Ambassador a brief explanation about the university since its establishment, explaining the stages that the university went through since its beginnings as a community college, then its transformation to become the first private university in Yemen, as well as the prominent stages that the university has made at the academic and administrative level internally and externally, and the most important awards and certificates obtained by the university, then the stage of transferring the main center of the university to Aden, and the unremitting efforts made by the university to continue presenting its distinguished scientific mission and developing and improving all its educational, research and community activities and services.
The visit also included a discussion of prospects and ways to enhance cooperation between the University of Science and Technology, universities and educational institutions in Tunisia, and the exchange of experiences and knowledge in various fields of science and technology.
For his part, His Excellency the Yemeni Ambassador to Tunisia, A. Abdel Nasser Bahabib, the embassy supported the university in all endeavors of partnership and cooperation between Yemeni and Tunisian universities, which would improve academic and research work, stressing his interest in activating all aspects of cooperation and partnership between Yemeni universities in general and Tunisian universities, because of the importance of this cooperation in improving the quality of education and in developing higher education. Especially in light of the current circumstances that Yemen is going through.
At the end of the meeting, the university president, Prof. Dr.. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed Shield of the University of Science and Technology to His Excellency Ambassador Prof. Abdel Nasser Bahabib, praising his cooperation, thanking him for the generous hospitality and warm reception.
