Launching a range of sports activities and events
Under the auspices of the Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdul Ghani Ahmed Hamid, the Student Affairs Department launched sports activities and events for the academic year 2021-2022.
Sunday, March 13, 2022 AD, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qutaibi, and the Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, the Student Affairs Department launched sports activities and events in all faculties of the university for the academic year 2021-2022 AD, which included many individual and various team games.
During the inauguration, the Acting President of the University welcomed the attendees and participants in the activities and events of special interest from the University Presidency. Because of the importance it represents in the life of the student, and is no less important than the educational aspect; The role of these activities in the positive impact through refining talents, preparing the university student’s personality, changing the study routine, and raising his physical and health level.
The Acting President of the University expressed his thanks for all the efforts made by the Assistant President for Student Affairs and Community Centers, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, the Student Affairs Department, the deans of the faculties, and the male and female students participating in the establishment of these activities and events, and in the end, he wished everyone success and competition in the spirit of sportsmanship.
In his speech, Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Nakhbi, Head of Student Affairs, explained that the university presidency has been providing unlimited support for the establishment of sports activities and events at the level of university centers and colleges, since its establishment.
He stressed that the Student Affairs Department seeks to highlight and expand the sports activity at the university, as it includes a large number of talented and creative youth in various fields and works to discover and highlight them.
It is worth noting that the activities are diverse and in constant renewal (football, table tennis, billiards, chess, boxing, volleyball, marathon).
