Meeting of the Acting University President with the Director of the Education Development Center - University of Gezira - Sudan
During his visit to the University of Gezira and signing a cooperation and partnership agreement between the two universities, the Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, met with the Director of the Center for Development of Medical Education and Research at the Faculty of Medicine - University of Gezira, Dr. Jamal Mustafa Abdullah. He was accompanied during the meeting by Dr. Muhammad Muammar Al-Shamiri, Director of the Quality Assurance and Development Department.
During the meeting, the Acting President of the University discussed with the Director of the Center various aspects of cooperation between the University and the Center, including holding specialized workshops to develop the Medicine and Surgery Program, qualifying the cadres of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology in the field of medical education, and involving the cadres of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences in various workshops, seminars and events held by the Center as part of its specialized activities in the fields of medical education.
It is worth noting that the Center for the Development of Medical Education and Research, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Gezira, is accredited by the World Health Organization, and is a regional house of expertise in the field of medical education and qualifying medical programs for accreditation.
