About the program:
The Computer Science program is the first program established in the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Science and Technology in 1993-1994, and then it became a department that contains more than one program. It has a major and vital role in the development and progress of human life. It specializes in providing many of the basic means of life in the technical and informational field and provides many job opportunities required in the local market.

The computer science program to become one of the leading programs in the field of computer and distinguished regionally.
Program mission:
Developing the competencies and computer skills of graduates in order to be able to face challenges and solve complex problems in the real world, and meet the needs of the growing global market with high scientific competencies capable of research and ethical teamwork and the ability to bring about qualitative and ethical change in the surrounding environment.

Admission Requirements
Admission and registration requirements:
1- A high school graduate in the Republic of Yemen, or its equivalent, is accepted at the university at the rate that is determined annually.
2- Submit all the required documents, certified, with the application for admission to the university, to the Admission and Registration Department.
3- Acceptance is made according to the absorptive capacity specified by the university and approved by the Ministry of Higher Education.
4- The student undertakes to abide by the rules, instructions and regulations of the university in force during the study.
Trade-off conditions:
Students enrolled in the college are subject to placement tests in the subjects (Mathematics - Physics - English).
Documents required for high school graduates:
1- The application form for admission, with all the information contained therein, in accordance with the conditions of the university.
2- The original certified high school certificate or its equivalent, attached with a true copy.
3- If the secondary school is from outside Yemen, it will be baptized (original + copy) from the following authorities:
- The Ministry of Education in the country from which the certificate was issued.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country from which the certificate was issued.
- Embassy of the Republic of Yemen in the country from which the certificate was issued.
- Yemeni Foreign Ministry in Sana'a.
If the high school diploma is from a non-Arab country, it will be translated after its ratification and the ratification of the translated copy (according to paragraph 3 above), in addition to its equivalency at the Ministry of Education in the Republic of Yemen.
4- A copy of the personal or family card for Yemeni students.
5- Ten personal photos (6×4) with a white front background.
6- Copies of the first eight pages of the passport (for non-Yemenis), provided that the passport is valid for more than one year, with a record of residing in Yemen for at least one year.
Documents required for bridging students
In addition to the aforementioned documents, the following are required:
The diploma's academic record (original + transcript) certified by the official authorities.
Graduation certificate for the diploma (original + transcript) certified by the official authorities.
Admission controls in the bridging system:
The averages for high school and vocational high school for students wishing to bridge (for engineering majors) should be 70%
The acceptance rate of the bridging system for those who passed the competency exam to be held by the Ministry of Higher Education (for engineering majors) should be 80%
Documents required for students transferred from other universities:
Students transferred from Yemeni universities to the University of Science and Technology:
In addition to the above, they are required to bring a transcript of the subjects studied by the student at that university, baptized from Yemeni higher education, with true copies of the transcript, in addition to a certified copy from the university of the scientific content of the subjects in the transcript.
Students transferred from universities outside Yemen:
In addition to what was mentioned above, it is required to baptize the transcripts from higher education and foreign affairs in that country, the Yemeni embassy there, and the Yemeni Foreign Ministry in Sana’a, provided that that body is recognized in higher education, in addition to a certified copy of the university in which he studied for the scientific content in the transcript. In the event that the transcript is in a language other than Arabic, as if the university is a foreign one, it will be translated and baptized as mentioned above.
