The Center for Pharmaceutical Research and Studies at the University of Science and Technology seeks to provide a distinguished service to our customers based on expertise and high technology in the field of pharmaceutical research and studies, which includes conducting bioequivalence studies, providing scientific advice to researchers, and holding specialized training courses, taking into account the concept of total quality and good laboratory practice (GLPThe center has an efficient research and administrative staff, an integrated research structure, and advanced training programs.

center units
Pharmaceutical Research and Studies Center Units
The center contains three basic units, each of which is supervised by a member of the academic staff, and all of these units contribute to practical lessons and provide their services to all researchers, including faculty members and students, in addition to the services they provide to bodies inside and outside the university, namely:
- bioequivalence unit
In this unit, the following activities are carried out:
- Develop analysis methods.
- Conducting bioequivalence studies for manufactured drugs
- Conducting the necessary studies to determine the stability of drugs in their various pharmaceutical forms.
- Measuring the metabolism and pharmacokinetics of specific genera.
- Expressing the necessary opinion and scientific advice that helps in solving control problems and the related safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical preparations.
- Pharmaceutical Sciences Unit
It conducts studies and research in the field of pharmacology, toxicology and pharmacology.
- Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Natural Products Unit
Studies and research are conducted in the field of drugs, drug chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical and instrumental analysis.

It develops the scientific and practical skills of students, researchers and faculty members through the establishment of specialized training courses in several areas, including:
Sample preparation methods.
- Basics and uses UV-VIS.
- Basics and uses FT-IR.
- Development of chromatographic methods on a device .HPLC
- Basics of chromatographic methods and their uses HPLC.
- Writing and publishing research.
- Analysis of research results using a statistical analysis program .SPSS
As the university believes in its role in serving and developing the community, the university has been keen since its inception to support and provide services that would contribute to the development and advancement of society. Its generous support in this aspect as well as the establishment of these centers, and among these centers the Pharmaceutical Research and Studies Center came to fill the need for research and study of the drug so that it becomes safe to use by conducting bioequivalence studies, which helps manufacturers in registering their pharmaceutical products as well as conducting research for faculty members and students and provide scientific and technical assistance to researchers and specialists, which contributes to raising their scientific and professional competence.
The center was established after reviewing the specialized centers at the regional level in order to benefit from their experiences and services, whether in providing the infrastructure or the operational processes and the requirements required to equip the pharmaceutical research centers to ensure excellence and performance in the service we provide to the community.
Services and courses offered by the center
The center offers its valued customers many services, including:
- Conduct bioequivalence studies and drug quality studies to assist pharmaceutical companies in registering their products
- Sample analysis and scientific advice
- The development of different analytical methods (method development) for researchers and pharmaceutical companies
- Developing research and laboratory skills for students of the University of Science and other universities and those interested by presenting
- Courses in several areas, including:
- Sample preparation methods.
- UV-VIS Basics and Uses.
- Basics and Uses of FT-IR.
- Development of chromatographic methods on HPLC .
- Basics of chromatographic methods and uses of HPLC.
- Writing and publishing research.
- Cooperation with the Center for Biological Studies at the University of Science and Technology to conduct studies
- Analyzing samples that need other techniques such as PCR and others.
