Coinciding with the third anniversary of the establishment of the Read Club, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, and the assistant president of the university for academic affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qutaibi, and the heads of the academic and administrative departments at the university, a cultural event was held on Tuesday morning, March 22, 2022 AD, organized by the Iqra Club in coordination with the Student Affairs Department, to celebrate the third anniversary of the founding of the club, which was announced on the twenty-second of March of the year 2019.
During the celebration, the club’s president, student Mohammed Al-Waleed, gave the club’s speech, in which he welcomed the leadership of the university, and the guests present. Permanent, continuous and renewable in the relevant places and events, and spreading the culture of reading and clarifying its importance to all. Finally, the club's president commended the student, Mohamed Al-Walidy, for the university's support for the club in order to make the club's activities successful and spread its goals.
The Assistant President of the University, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, in his welcoming speech to the guests and attendees, said that such events contribute to raising the cultural level of students, expressing his admiration for the students and the university's interest in such events within the community services provided by the university to the community.
The ceremony witnessed many segments, events and competitions (reading is a fashion - why do you read).
At the end of the ceremony, a number of prominent club members who contributed to the establishment of the club and supported its success process were honored.
