Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, the University of Science and Technology held a workshop to approve the Artificial Intelligence Program, which represents a qualitative leap in the programs of the College of Engineering and Computers. The workshop was attended by the President of the University of Science and Technology, Prof. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, Prof. Khaled Shafel, Director General of Private Educational Institutions at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Adnan Zain - Director General of Government Education Institutions at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Abdulaziz Abu Rajila, an external participant. A group of professors of artificial intelligence participated, headed by Professor Dr. Adel Salam Haider and Dr. Abdullah Al-Hariri. The workshop was also attended by the Vice Presidents of the University, Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computers, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, the Dean of E-Learning, Dr. Nabil Mansour, and a number of professors of the college, Dr. Amima Bahidra, Mr. Ali Al-Abbadi. The workshop was honored by the presence of Dr. Fatima Qahtan, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Shammari, Director of Quality Assurance and Development Department, supervisor of the workshop. The qualitative addition to the workshop was the attendance of Eng. Zain Al-Sunaidi, General Manager of Infosoft Company, and Eng. Rahab Al-Yousfi, Technical Support Manager at Yemen Soft Company, representatives of the labor market. The workshop discussed the objectives, learning outcomes, and study plan of the program. The workshop was opened by the President of the University, praising the specializations offered by the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences that meet the needs of the labor market and keep pace with the current development in society. Then, Prof. Khaled Shafel spoke, who in turn praised such workshops, which the University of Science and Technology is considered a pioneer in such activities, in which an elite group of scientific specializations contribute to developing the programs until they emerge in their distinguished form. Then, the workshop began by presenting the objectives, learning outcomes, and study plan. There were some observations that contribute to improving and enhancing the scientific content of the program. The workshop concluded with approving the program, taking the observations into account, and moving towards distinguished education in which the University of Science and Technology contributes as an effective partner.
