The Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, in coordination with the College of Engineering and Computer Science, held an introductory course on the Mendeley reference management program for the university’s graduate students on Saturday, 11-11-2023.
The course included several topics through which students learned how to manage research references effectively using the Mendeley program, create a personal library of references and organize them using Mendeley, import articles and research, and put them in categories and groups within the application, in addition to comments and instructions for references and documents, and use the search and filter functions in Mendeley to quickly find the references you need, and create citation lists and manage them correctly according to the required citation style. The course was presented by Dr. Ali Balaid - Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering and Computers - University of Science and Technology.
The course was attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Haidari, Head of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and a number of graduate students from various disciplines.
At the end, certificates of participation in the introductory course were distributed.
