Indonesian The Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, Prof. Abdul-Ghani Hamid Ahmed, received the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Khalid Omar Basalim, and the accompanying delegation assigned by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, regarding the initial examination and licensing of four of the University of Science and Technology’s bachelor’s programs at the main center in Aden.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President welcomed the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Basalim, Chairman of the Committee assigned by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Khalid Ahmed Al-Wusabi, stressing that the University of Science and Technology will remain an educational edifice supporting the higher education system, built on modern and contemporary scientific and technical foundations.
Then, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Khaled Basalim, expressed in his speech his pleasure with this visit, praising the high-quality educational services and the distinguished technical efforts made by the University of Science and Technology, and its continuous keenness on development, progress and prosperity.
Undersecretary Basalim confirmed the Ministry of Higher Education’s readiness to overcome all difficulties that the university may face at the current stage.
For his part, the Director General of Private University Institutions at the Ministry, Prof. Dr. Khaled Qaed Shafel, praised the advanced steps taken by the University of Science and Technology in the field of advancing the academic and educational process in Yemen, wishing the university more giving and continuous cooperation between the Ministry and the University, which would sustain the stages of scientific development, and everything that contributes to the success of the educational process.
During the meeting, the new programs were evaluated by the Inspection and Licensing Review Committee, consisting of:

During his visit, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Basalim, and the accompanying delegation, along with the President of the University, were briefed on the progress of the educational process in all departments and specializations at the university, toured the university’s corridors and offices, visited its laboratories, and the building of its teaching hospital.
The meeting was attended by the University President’s Assistant for Student Affairs and Community Centers, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, the University President’s Assistant for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, Dr. Fatima Qahtan, Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Mahmoud Abdo Thabet, Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, and the Director of the Quality Assurance and Development Department, Dr. Muhammad Al-Shamiri.
