A seminar entitled “The Feasibility of the Economic Boycott and Its Impact on the Concerned Parties” was held at the University of Science and Technology - Main Center, Aden, for Bachelor’s students in International Business Administration - Second Level.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, Dr. Bashir Al-Hammadi, Dr. Ashal Al-Haithami, Dr. Mohammed Al-Haidari, Dr. Ali Karama, and Dr. Jamal Taleb.
The symposium opened with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a simple introduction and greetings to the university presidency, then a speech given by Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, Assistant President for Student Affairs, followed by a speech by the course instructor, Dr. Mona Abdel Salam.
After that, the student Abdulrahman Al-Qurashi, the batch representative, gave a general introduction to the topic of the symposium, which is “Boycott”, and then a poem was recited about the boycott, before reviewing the concept of the boycott, its importance and types. After that, the director of the “Athar” charity project, Amr Muhammad, spoke about his project that was participated in the symposium bazaar, and how he was able to replace products through his project. After that, the most prominent boycotts throughout history were reviewed, followed by an intervention by the content creator and influencer Hussein Al-Sharafi, then moving on to talk about the economic feasibility and the decline in the stocks of the supporting companies, before Dr. Muhammad Al-Haidari, Dean of Graduate Studies, gave an intervention in which he spoke about the fatwas and the religious aspect related to this topic, and then a paragraph of awareness and various advice about the boycott, followed by the presentation of a song, and then the most important recommendations proposed by the symposium were read, and the symposium concluded with words from the head of the Business Administration Department, Dr. Bashir Al-Hammadi.
