Farewell party for students of the Applied College of Science and Technology - Aden

On Saturday 18-11-2023, a farewell party was held in Saba Khormaksar Hall for students of the Applied College of Science and Technology - Aden - from the departments (General Physician Assistant, Anesthesia Technician, Graphics), under the patronage of the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Abdo Rabbo Al-Mahouli.

In turn, the Deputy Minister delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduates and blessed them with their joy. He also noted the importance of technical education and its role in economic and social renaissance, and in reducing the spread of unemployment. 

For his part, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Dhahabi, Dean of the College, delivered a speech in which he congratulated the graduating students and their parents on this occasion. He also stressed that graduation from this stage is not the end of the educational stages, but rather the beginning of more important stages. He also urged them to continue learning and acquiring skills, because the world is witnessing rapid development, especially in the medical field, which is witnessing new discoveries and updating the skills of doctors and assistant technicians alike.

Student Yaqoub Al-Saeedi also delivered the graduates’ speech, in which he welcomed the attendees and thanked the college deanship and teaching staff for their efforts throughout the educational stage. He also called on the Deputy Minister to do everything in his power to complete the issuance of the bridging decision and establish an applied university (polytechnic) to absorb the outputs of technical education from various institutes and colleges.

The ceremony included artistic segments and a parade by the graduates. The graduating students were also honored with certificates of appreciation.

 The ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Dhahabi, Dean of the Applied College, Associate Professor Dr. Nabil Mansour, Dean of the College of E-Learning and Distance Education, Dr. Weam Ali, Head of the Medical Department, Ms. Sara Salem, Mr. Bilal Ahmed Nasher, Head of the Registration Department at the Deanship of E-Learning, and a number of faculty members at the college.

The ceremony was well received by the parents who attended to share the joy of their children's graduation.
