In a move towards strengthening academic and cultural relations, the Assistant President of the University of Science and Technology, Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, and the accompanying delegation: the Director of the University Branch in Hadhramaut, Dr. Alawi Saqqaf Al-Eidaroos, and the Financial and Administrative Director of the Branch, Mr. Saeed Bahfi, visited the Undersecretary of the Omani Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and His Excellency the Yemeni Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, at the embassy headquarters in the Sultanate of Oman, on the morning of Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
This visit aimed to open new horizons for cooperation between the university, the embassy in the Sultanate of Oman, and the Omani Ministry of Higher Education, which would contribute to developing joint academic programs and exchanging expertise in various fields.
The meeting focused on discussing ways to enhance relations between the university and the Sultanate of Oman through the Yemeni embassy, especially in light of the facilities provided by the embassy to Omani students studying at the university. Several issues were also reviewed, including opening a branch of the university.
His Excellency the Ambassador praised the distinguished role played by the University of Science and Technology in providing educational services.
At the end of the meeting, the university delegation presented the university shield to His Excellency the Ambassador; in thanks and gratitude for what the embassy is doing to remove obstacles facing Omani students studying in Yemen. In return, the embassy presented the excellence shield to the university; for its interest in Omani expatriate students.
