On Thursday, February 16, 2023, the College of Administrative and Human Sciences organized a scientific forum at the main center in Aden entitled: The Relationship between Insurance Companies and Banks, with the attendance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Solidarity Bank, Kak Islamic Bank, United Insurance Company, and Marib Insurance Company.
The forum was opened by Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs. In his opening speech, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi expressed his admiration for the students’ interaction with the scientific activities, and the college’s interest in involving the labor market in the various academic activities it holds. He also thanked the interaction and interest of public and private sector companies in participating in the scientific activities held by the university, explaining the importance of the two sectors’ participation in these activities.
For his part, Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, Assistant President for Student Affairs, stressed the importance of linking university students to the labor market so that they can absorb and understand academic courses. He also stressed the importance of the effective partnership that the university provides with the public and private sectors.
The forum was attended by university students from the College of Administrative and Human Sciences - Arabic Business Administration Program - Level 3, at the main center, Taiz City Branch, Hadramout Branch, and e-learning and distance learning students. The students participated with six scientific presentations, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, banks and insurance companies presented practical presentations and discussions on strengthening the relationship between insurance companies and banks.
The guests of the forum were Mr. Abdul Hakim Alawi - General Manager of Insurance Companies - Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Fawaz bin Shuaib - Director of CAC Islamic Bank, Mr. Sadiq Al-Salahi - Director of Investment Department at Solidarity International Bank, Mr. Talal Al-Hakimi - Director of United Insurance Company, Mr. Fardous Ahmed Fadl - Director of Marib Insurance Company, Dr. Khaldoun Al-Doush - Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Aden University, and college professors from various specializations.
