As part of the activities of the World Pharmacy Day, students of the Pharmacy Department at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Science and Technology - Main Center, Aden, implemented the “Pharmaceutical Awareness Activity.”
The event was attended by the Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, and Head of the Department of Pharmacy, Dr. Abdullah Al-Nasi.
The activity included several awareness aspects, namely: awareness of the benefits and harms of some drugs (herbs), awareness of drug interactions, in terms of drug interactions with each other, as well as the effects resulting from these interactions, awareness of drug interactions with food, as well as explaining how to use painkillers of various types rationally. During the activity, cosmetic medical preparations prepared and made by students of the Department of Pharmacy were also displayed.
Some recreational activities were held to accompany this awareness activity, in which a number of male and female students and university employees participated.
