As part of the university’s interest in linking theoretical study with practical application, students of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering - Second Level, made a field visit to the Aden Al-Buraika refineries, accompanied by the Head of the Department, Dr. Abdulrahman Qadi.
The students learned about the available laboratories and measuring tools for the numerous tests conducted to ensure that petroleum derivatives conform to the required specifications. At the end of the visit, the refinery management introduced the students to its origins and history by showing a short film explaining everything that the Aden refineries have gone through since its opening.
The students praised the scientific value gained from this visit and were enthusiastic and eager to make other field visits to field facilities related to their specialization.
Dr. Abdulrahman Qadi thanked Aden Refinery for the warm welcome and hospitality they received, and the comprehensive explanation provided to the students during the visit.
This visit comes within the activities accompanying the educational process and is a translation of the university’s goals; to enhance students’ awareness and connect them to the practical side.
