As part of the university's efforts to provide its students with scientific and practical skills, and to closely monitor the practices actually adopted in the labor market, a field visit was made on Monday, February 20, 2023, to the Central Bank of Yemen - Aden, for first-level students - specializing in cybersecurity - College of Engineering and Computers, where they were informed of the general policies adopted by the Central Bank of Yemen to protect digital fixed assets and all data sources, in accordance with international protection standards, and programs and applications are used with authorized certificates and original copies.
After that, the Data Center was visited and the advanced equipment was closely examined, which operates according to the systems and laws of international banking organizations and in accordance with the recommendations and instructions of internal and external auditors.
For his part, Dr. Fatik Saeed, the Cyber Security Program Officer at the University, expressed his appreciation for the technologies, procedures, policies and controls he found at the Central Bank of Yemen - Aden, as well as the competent and specialized human cadre with extensive experience and qualifications, and plans to ensure the continuity of banking and operational work and disaster recovery plans according to pre-planned operations and in accordance with international standards and in line with our internal environment.
Pointing out that this visit is of great importance to the students and is also considered the beginning of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the University of Science and Technology and the Central Bank of Yemen, as the visit will continue for two consecutive days for seven groups of cybersecurity students.
