University of Science and Technology honors students participating in the scientific competition for public secondary schools

The University of Science and Technology, Aden Main Center, honored the winners of the scientific methodological competition for secondary school students in the interim capital, Aden, for the period from January 28, 2024 AD to February 6, 2024 AD, at the university.
The university held the competition with the participation of 32 schools from different directorates of Aden Governorate. Each directorate was represented by four secondary schools, two government schools (boys - girls), and two private schools (boys - girls) based on the nomination of the education offices in the directorates for the schools, and under the direct supervision of the education sector in the Ministry of Education and the Education Office in Aden Governorate.
Al-Baihani Model Secondary School for Boys won first place, while Aden Model Secondary School for Girls came in second place, in the competition that lasted for 10 days, and in which 32 government and private secondary schools in Aden Governorate participated.
During the honoring ceremony, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for the Education Sector, Mr. Mohammed Ali Lamlas, congratulated the students who won the competition, pointing out that organizing such scientific competitions motivates students to persevere and compete in academic achievement, builds their abilities to innovate and excel, and prepares them to participate in internal and external activities.
The President of the University of Science and Technology, Prof. Abdul Ghani Hamid, explained the university’s interest in supporting these activities that contribute to caring for students and developing their spirit of creativity, competition and innovation, as part of the social responsibility to raise the efficiency of performance and enhance the outcomes of the educational process.
The ceremony included singing segments, distributing certificates of appreciation to the supervisors and the technical committee organizing the competition, and distributing certificates and valuable prizes to the winners of first and second place.
According to those in charge of this competition, which is launched by the University of Science and Technology, based on its sense of responsibility towards society in general, the aim is to motivate students to achieve academic achievement, deep understanding of the curricula, and encourage them to develop their skills in analysis and critical thinking.
