The College of Administrative and Human Sciences at the University of Science and Technology - Main Center, Aden, organized the scientific symposium: “Human Resources Management - Leadership and Excellence”, in the university building in the city of Inmaa in Aden Governorate, today, Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
The symposium was attended by the Acting President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, the Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, the Dean of the College of Administrative and Human Sciences, Dr. Mahmoud Abdo Thabet, the Director of the Marketing and Public Relations Department at the University, Dr. Samir Muthanna, as well as a large number of faculty members at the university.
The symposium was also attended by a large number of representatives of commercial companies, as the symposium witnessed the attendance of more than 140 companies, in addition to a group of management scholars, academics, researchers, as well as specialists in human resources management, and workers in this field.
The symposium was opened with a speech from the university presidency, delivered by the acting president of the university, Prof. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, followed by a speech by Dr. Mahmoud Abdo Thabet, Dean of the College of Administrative and Human Sciences, who welcomed the attendees and participants in the symposium, stressing the importance of this symposium and the university’s keenness to hold such symposiums. This was followed by speeches from a number of ministries, namely: the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Civil Service and Insurance, and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor.
The symposium lectures then began with a lecture entitled: “The Relationship between Humans and Human Resources Management” by Professor Dr. Dawood Abdul Malik Al-Hadabi from the University of Science and Technology in Yemen and the International Islamic University in Malaysia, followed by a lecture entitled: “The Introduction and Development of Human Resources Management” presented by Professor Mahmoud Al-Sayed Abdul-Razeq, General Manager of Uplifting Management Consulting Company - Dubai - UAE, then a lecture by Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Ahmed Al-Maamari from the University of Science and Technology in Yemen entitled: “Effective Planning of Human Resources”, followed by a lecture: “Distinguished Human Resources in the Face of Labor Market Requirements” by Dr. Abdul Malik Malhi, CEO of the World of Management (WOM) Foundation for Management Consulting and Training in Yemen, then a lecture: “Modern Trends in Human Resources Management” by Dr. Al-Sayed Youssef Haraz from the Higher Institute of Management and Foreign Trade in Egypt, and the symposium lectures concluded with a lecture by Dr. Iskandar Hassan Abdul Sattar from the University of Science and Technology in Yemen entitled: “Human Resources Management in the Era of Globalization”.
The symposium reviewed the experience of the Automotive and Motor Trading Center Company (AMTC) in adopting best practices in human resources management. At the end of the symposium, the participants were honored in appreciation of the university.
It is noteworthy that the University of Science and Technology held this symposium based on its keenness to enrich administrative sciences, especially in the field of human resources management, and in an effort by the university to develop the administrative methods followed in various public and private institutions in our country.
