It tops the list of Yemeni (private) universities in global ratings.
Continuing its journey to top Arab and international rankings at the level of Yemeni universities... The University of Science and Technology - Main Center Aden tops the list of local private universities according to the latest edition of the SCImago ranking issued by the SCImago Research Group, a research organization based in Spain consisting of members from the Supreme Council for Scientific Research, the University of Granada, Carlos III University of Madrid, Al-Qalaa University, the University of Extremadura and other educational institutions in Spain.
This result comes as a well-deserved achievement for the university, after moving its main center to Aden, and as a result of the efforts of its academic and administrative staff, and in line with the vision and mission of the university, which is reinforced by the numbers and certificates of international university ranking institutions. In the middle of this year, the university obtained first place among public and private universities according to the global Webometrics classification, and this result comes in addition to a large balance of excellence in the global and Arab evaluations and classifications that the university has obtained during its extended journey.
It is worth noting that the SCImago classification is one of the well-known classifications of academic and research institutions, as it uses a composite index that reflects three main criteria: research performance, innovation, and societal impact, which is measured by their appearance on the web.
This year’s classification included 5 sections: government and health institutions, companies, and non-profit institutions, which indicates the strength of international competition among the institutions included in the classification.
