The Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance at the University of Science and Technology at the main center - Aden, in coordination with the Student Affairs Department, organized an open event for university students on Monday, November 11, 2024, on the occasion of World Quality Week, on “The Role of Quality in the Life of the University Student.”
The event included a distinguished lecture delivered by Dr. Bashir Al Hammadi, in which he discussed the importance of applying quality concepts in the academic life of students, and how these concepts contribute to developing their skills and enhancing their chances of academic success and excellence.
A theatrical sketch was also presented by the students, highlighting the importance of positive participation in university assessments, and showing in an awareness-raising manner how students’ effective participation in assessments can contribute to improving the level of education and developing academic performance at the university.
The event concluded with an open meeting between the university presidency and students, where the floor was opened for discussion to ask questions and students’ suggestions on ways to improve the quality of education and university services. The meeting contributed to enhancing direct communication between the administration and students, enabling them to express their opinions and ideas on how to develop academic and student activities at the university.
The event was attended by the Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, Assistant President for Student Affairs, Community Centers and Branches, Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality Assurance, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Rumaima, in addition to a number of heads of academic departments, the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, the Head of Student Affairs, and a number of academics and administrators.
It is worth noting that the activities of the World Quality Week are still ongoing, and aim to spread and enhance the culture of quality among members of the university community.
