In the presence of Prof. Dr. Khaled Omar Basalim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for the Educational Affairs Sector, and Prof. Dr. Khaled Shafel, Director General of Private Educational Institutions - at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Wasie, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Ghani Hamid Ahmed - Acting President of the University launched today, Tuesday 06-13-2023, the Scientific Day event for public discussions of graduation projects, Department of Pharmacy - College of Medicine and Health Sciences "Batch of the late Osama Fahd bin Harez". At the beginning of the event, Dr. Abdullah Al-Nasi - Head of the Department of Pharmacy welcomed all attendees, stressing the interest that the university attaches to scientific research and refining students' skills. He stressed the keenness of the Department of Pharmacy to direct research and graduation projects in a way that serves society and addresses its problems in the pharmaceutical sector, drawing attention to the quality of the submitted graduation projects, which focused on addressing important issues in the health and pharmaceutical sector, and the keenness of the Department of Pharmacy and the university to deepen partnerships with institutions, bodies, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies and integrate joint efforts to enhance pharmacy outputs. In turn, Prof. Dr. Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, Acting President of the University, gave a speech in which he referred to the keenness, interest and diligent follow-up of the university presidency on research aspects and graduation projects and providing all the necessary capabilities for that in a way that serves the educational process and makes the university graduate highly qualified and prepared to continue postgraduate studies and the university's continuous efforts through its strategies and plans to keep pace with requirements, development and academic accreditation, praising the excellence of the Department of Pharmacy and its outputs. Dr. Abdul Qader Al-Bakri, Executive Director General of the Supreme Authority for Medicines, also gave a speech in which he praised the positive roles played by the University of Science and Technology and the Department of Pharmacy in partnership with various institutions, expressing the Authority's readiness to provide all its capabilities to serve scientific research, praising the quality of the submitted projects and their importance. After that, a symbolic tribute was held for the family of the deceased student Osama Fahd bin Harez and a special reportage was presented on the deceased.
Then, the public discussions of the projects began by the discussion committee consisting of:
1. Prof. Dr. Samira Abdullah Mahmoud.
2. Prof. Dr. Mahfouz Al-Masli.
3. Dr. Faris Mohammed Muthanna.
4. Dr. Abdullah Ali Al-Nasi.
5. Dr. Muhammad Suhail Aqaba.
The research groups gave presentations on the research, and the discussion committees praised the distinguished and qualitative level of these projects in various pharmaceutical fields, and the quality of their preparation according to the required research methodology, while providing some notes and clarifications for the purpose of improvement.
The event was attended by the Assistant President for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, Assistant President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, Dr. Fatima Qahtan - Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. Abdul Qader Al-Bakri - Executive Director General of the Supreme Authority for Medicines, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Jahouri, Head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Mohammed Al-Nasi, Secretary General of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Mr. Abdullah bin Harez, Advisor - President of Aden University, Dr. Khaled Saeed Ali - Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Aden University, and a number of deans of colleges, heads of departments, administrative units, a number of academic and scientific figures, and representatives of pharmaceutical companies and factories, hospitals and training centers.
In conclusion, the preparatory committee for the scientific day and the organizing student committee were honored.
