On an inspection visit, Prof. Dr. Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, visited the university branch in Hadhramaut on Saturday morning, 9/7/2024.
The Acting President of the University began his visit to the branch with a comprehensive inspection tour that included the administrative offices, classrooms, medical science and computer labs, and the new building of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, where he was briefed on the daily workflow and adherence to academic regulations.
During the visit, the Acting President of the University stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the main center and the branch in Hadhramaut, and providing the necessary support to develop the infrastructure, and modernize laboratories and equipment; which contributes to raising the level of academic and research performance.
He also stressed the importance of listening to the opinions of students and faculty members, and working to meet their needs and aspirations.
It is noteworthy that the Acting President of the University met during this visit with Eng. Alawi Saqqaf Al-Eidaroos, Director of the Hadhramaut Branch, and the academic and administrative staff at the branch, and listened to a detailed explanation from them about the progress of the educational process, the challenges facing the branch, and the work mechanisms followed in the various departments. He also met with a number of students at the branch, and listened to their comments and suggestions on improving the quality of education and services provided.
