The Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdul Ghani Hamid, received the Head of the “One Community for Humanitarian and Community Service” Initiative

On Wednesday 06-14-2023, the Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdul-Ghani Hamid Ahmed, received Ms. Ibtisam Omar, Head of the “One Community for Humanitarian and Community Service” Initiative, where she explained the importance of coordination and partnership between civil society organizations and the university in serving the community and in relation to raising awareness in combating cyber violence. For his part, the Acting President of the University welcomed such initiatives, considering community service a primary goal of the university, and that the university opened the cybersecurity program as the first university in Aden to cover the large gap between the needs of the labor market and specialized cadres, indicating that students are provided with laws to combat cybercrime; so that the outputs have efficient specifications that carry out the processes of securing digital systems and assets at the individual level and governmental and private institutions.
For his part, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, welcomed all means of coordination. Ms. Ibtisam praised the equipment she saw and the material and human capabilities that the university possesses.
The reception was attended by Dr. Fatik Saeed - Supervisor of the Cyber Security Program - College of Engineering and Computers.
