The Quality and Development Department at the University of Science and Technology - Main Center, Aden, in cooperation with the University’s Human Resources Department and the University’s Consulting and Development Center, held a workshop on “Preparing Executive Plans According to the Balanced Scorecard.”
The workshop targeted deans of colleges, heads of departments, secretaries, as well as branch managers and quality officers. The workshop lasted for four days and aimed to train administrative leaders at the university on the skills of writing annual executive plans and involving all colleges and branches in preparing the plans; to form a common and clear understanding among all units at the university that helps in building ambitious and realistic plans, with a clear mechanism for following up on implementation and tracking performance indicators during the year.
The workshop was implemented in the form of working groups for colleges and branches, where each unit worked during the workshop period to develop its plan for the coming year, and then present and discuss it.
This workshop comes as a result of the university’s interest in the planning and follow-up process, and its keenness to provide administrative and academic leaders with planning and follow-up skills, which are important skills that enable administrative and academic cadres to build, implement and evaluate effective plans.
