University of Science and Technology - Aden opens its first international scientific conference

The University of Science and Technology - Main Center, Aden, held the opening ceremony of the first international scientific conference: “Administrative Sciences and Sustainable Development - Reality and Ambition”, in its building in the city of Aden, on Sunday morning, 8/18/2024.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, Prof. Dr. Khalid Ahmed Al-Wosabi, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Mohammed Al-Ashwal, Minister of Trade and Industry, Eng. Nizar Haitham, Head of the Youth Authority in the Southern Transitional Council, in addition to a number of undersecretaries of ministries and general managers, a number of presidents of public and private universities, members of the Academic Accreditation Council, representatives of international organizations, representatives of commercial banks, a large gathering of media professionals, as well as a large number of academics, researchers and interested parties.
The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran. This was followed by the university anthem, which impressed the audience with its lyrics, melody and distinctive performance. This was followed by a speech by the University of Science and Technology, delivered by the Acting President of the University, Prof. Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, who welcomed all the attendees in his speech and spoke about the first international scientific conference, saying that this conference, in which a group of management and economics scholars are participating, is nothing but a continuation and continuation of a diverse and sustainable scientific path and regular scientific conferences that the university started early in its educational and academic activity. This was followed by a speech by Prof. Khalid Ahmed Al-Wasabi, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training, where he praised the University of Science and Technology in his speech and said that the university is a pioneer in holding such important scientific conferences that serve development in the country. The speech of His Excellency the Minister was followed by a presentation of an introductory report on the University of Science and Technology, starting from its establishment, through the conferences it held and hosted, the university’s agreements with regional and international universities, the university’s memberships, and the awards it received. The report concluded with a presentation of the university’s accredited branches.
Following the ceremony, the sessions of the first international scientific conference will begin: “Administrative Sciences and Sustainable Development - Reality and Ambition”, whose activities will begin today, Sunday, and will continue for three days, with three sessions each day, to conclude the conference’s work with a closing ceremony next Tuesday, 8/20/2024.
This international scientific conference aims to advance the reality of administrative sciences and link administrative sciences to the process of sustainable development. University professors, researchers, official bodies, companies and organizations will participate in the conference. A large number of research papers and scientific papers by researchers and specialists from Yemeni, regional and international universities will also be presented at the conference.
It is worth noting that holding this international scientific conference comes from the University of Science and Technology’s keenness to enrich scientific research and enhance its role in serving the local, regional and international community, as well as encouraging scientists, researchers, interested parties, graduate and undergraduate students, in addition to the university’s interest in increasing awareness of sustainable development issues.
