It's concluded College of Medicine and Health Sciences at University of Science and TechnologyThe first free medical camp, at the university headquarters in Anmaa city, Aden Governorate.
The two-day camp included “general medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, ophthalmology and optics, mental health, therapeutic nutrition and diet clinics.”
The camp received 8,289 patients, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, of various medical conditions, for all age groups, males and females, in its free clinics.
According to official statistics issued by the university, 790 cases benefited from general medicine clinics, while 839 cases benefited from internal medicine clinics, 259 cases benefited from obstetrics and gynecology clinics, and 461 cases benefited from ophthalmology and optics clinics.
The statistics confirmed that the number of cases benefiting from the Department of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery Clinics amounted to 1,528 cases, while the number of beneficiaries from the pediatric clinics amounted to 407 cases, in addition to 267 cases that benefited from the mental health clinics, and 515 cases that benefited from the Nutrition Clinics Department.
The statistics indicated that the number of beneficiaries of pharmacy services reached 2056 cases, while the number of beneficiaries of the laboratory testing department reached 1167 cases.
The statistics showed that the number of medical staff in this camp, which comes from the University of Science and Technology’s commitment to serving the community in the field of providing distinguished and qualitative medical services, reached nearly 800, distributed between doctors, assistants, nursing staff, and organizing committees.
