The university discusses with the GIZ organization the mechanism of field training for students and the preparation of a partnership memorandum
On Thursday morning, November 2, 2023, a meeting was held between the University of Science and Technology - Main Center - Aden, and the GIZ Organization, in the building of the University of Science and Technology, Main Center in Aden.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, welcomed the management of the GIZ organization, and during the meeting the two parties agreed on the mechanism of field training for students of the College of Engineering and Computer Science and preparing them for the labor market.
The meeting included a detailed presentation by Dr. Al-Saqqaf on the field training provided by the college, and visits to relevant institutions for the college’s senior students to provide them with the necessary skills that contribute to the absorption of the university’s outputs in the labor market.
Dr. Al-Saqqaf added that the university has a relationship base with institutions in the labor market and communicates with graduates, and arranges job interviews with entities that announce jobs in coordination with the university’s alumni club, which works to coordinate between institutions and graduate students.
For his part, the private sector coordinator in the organization, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Moalimi, reviewed the readiness of the GIZ organization to work to train students in courses that contribute to the absorption of university outputs in the labor market, with the development of a partnership memorandum with the university.
Al-Moalimi said that this comes within the framework of the organization’s continuous efforts to create a real partnership with universities to qualify, train and prepare students for the labor market to serve the community.
The meeting ended with a visit to the laboratories and a review of the infrastructure that the university has to serve university students.
