The President of the University participates in the meetings of the fifty-fourth session of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities
The Acting President of the University of Science and Technology participated in the official opening of the meetings of the fifty-fourth session of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities, which will be held at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the period from 27-29 March 2022, at the kind invitation of the Association of Arab Universities and Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
The official opening included the words of the president of the host university (Al-Ahliyya Amman University), and the speech of the director of Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University (president of the 53rd session), as well as the speech of the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, the Jordanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. Also, speeches were delivered by representatives of Arab and international organizations (the Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science, the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, the Federation of Universities of the Islamic World, the European Universities Union, the Texas International Education Union).
The Acting President of the University also participated in the meetings of the various committees, and participated in the deliberations that took place during the evening session.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Acting President of the University visited the building of the Union of Arab Universities among the participating delegations, during which he was briefed on the Union and its various bodies and departments. He also handed him the university shield, thanks and gratitude for the roles played by the Union for higher education in the Arab world, and for the technicalization of cooperation frameworks between Arab universities.
