Field visit of Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology students to Al-Sadaka General Hospital

During the visit, we learned about a number of X-ray devices, their technologies, and how to use them.

The students were received by the Head of the Radiology Department at the hospital, Ms. Dhikra Abdullah Abdul Rahim, who introduced the students to all the new and old devices, and answered many of the questions posed to her regarding operation and the differences between their uses.

After that, the students visited the Breast Imaging Unit (Mammography) department of the Oncology Center, and viewed the advanced device used in imaging, all its accessories, and the method of producing radiological images of the breast. The head of the department, Dr. Muhammad Ali Al-Saqqaf, and the department staff explained to the students all the details of the device and its mechanism of operation.

This is part of a series of field trips for students of the Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology program within the Radiology course plan.

At the end of the visit, the field supervisor accompanying the students, Ms. Hoda Ahmed Baqtada, thanked the members of the Radiology Department at Al-Sadaka Hospital and the Oncology Center for their warm reception and for the information, detailed explanation, and practical application they provided to them during their field visit.
