Sports competition for the academic year 2022-2023

Under the auspices of the Acting President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, and in the presence of the Assistant President for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, and the Secretary General of the University, Prof. Muhammad Al-Aghbari On Sunday, December 4, 2022 AD, the Student Affairs Department launched sports activities and events for the academic year 2022-2023 AD, which included many individual and various group games.

During the inauguration, the Acting President of the University welcomed the attendees and participants in the activities and events, and confirmed that the university pays special attention to sports and cultural activities, discovering and developing students' talents, and the impact of this on building the integrated personality of the university student and linking the scientific, cultural and sports aspects alike. 

The Acting President of the University also expressed his thanks for all the efforts made by the Assistant President for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, the Student Affairs Administration staff, the deans of the faculties, and the male and female students participating in the establishment of these activities and events, and in the end he wished everyone success. 

For his part, the Assistant President of the University, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, noted in his motivational speech to the students the importance of such activities and their impact on refining talents, preparing the personality of the university student, and raising the physical, mental and health level of students, and stressed that such activities are the basic stage for discovering talents and capabilities and launching to horizons broader at the local and regional levels.

The head of the Student Affairs Department, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Nakhbi, explained in his speech that the university presidency has always provided unlimited support for the establishment of sports activities and events at the level of university centers and colleges.

Stressing that the Student Affairs Department seeks to highlight and expand sports activity in the university, as it includes a large number of talented and creative youth in various fields and works to discover and highlight their talents.

It is worth noting that the Student Affairs Administration holds many sports activities and events annually (football, table tennis, billiards, chess, boxing, volleyball, marathon, basketball) and other cultural activities and competitions.
