Effectiveness and activity in translation

Students of the English Language Department - Translation Program at the College of Administrative and Human Sciences - University of Science and Technology - Main Center, Aden, organized an event and activity in translation on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 AD, where students of the first, second and third levels participated in the activity and performed consecutive simultaneous translation of various texts from the Arabic language into English and from English into Arabic. The texts included multiple and short topics, most notably topics related to the 2022 World Cup Qatar.

The students decorated the walls of the hall before the event with paintings and posters they prepared that include basic concepts in the field of translation and translations that illustrate the importance of this scientific research in today's world. Third-level students displayed on the screen 4 groups that will provide translation services for students of the University of Science and Technology in translation and interpretation, and named them after Arab translators. They are famous in the field of translation. 

The activity was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Abdo Thabet - Dean of the College of Administrative and Human Sciences, Mr. Mansour Al-Zakry - Head of the Translation Department, Dr. Nabil Muhim - Assistant Faculty Member, Dr. Lamis Abdul Rahman - Head of the English Language Department at the College of Education, University of Aden, Professor Ayoub Al-Shawtari, Assistant Faculty Member Department of Business Administration.
