Within the framework of the partnerships held by the University of Science and Technology - Aden with regional and international universities, and within the framework of its ambitious plan to expand its partnerships with foreign universities in order to benefit from the various experiences in university education and academic and program development in accordance with the latest standards, references and best practices, the Acting President of the University of Science and Technology A. . Dr.. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the University of Gezira - Sudan, represented by Prof. Dr.. Salah Al-Din Muhammad Al-Arabi, Director of the University of Gezira. The signing took place in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Dean of Graduate Studies, Vice President, Director of the Scientific Affairs Committee, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Gezira, and Director of the Quality Assurance and Development Department at the University of Science and Technology, Dr. Muhammad Muammar Al-Shamiri.
The agreement included cooperation between the two universities in the field of faculty exchange, qualification and training, holding and organizing scientific conferences and workshops, encouraging the publication of research by the teaching staff in the journals of the two universities, conducting joint research, and others.
The agreement also included cooperation in establishing joint postgraduate programs between the two universities in various disciplines, facilitating admission of postgraduate students, joint academic supervision, exchange of external examiners, and other requirements for postgraduate studies and scientific research.
The agreement focused in particular on cooperation in improving academic programs and qualifying them for international accreditations in various fields, especially the medicine and surgery program, especially since the experience of Sudanese universities is pioneering in this field, and they had the role of establishing the education system followed in the medicine and surgery program at the university.
In this regard, the Acting President of the University, accompanied by the Director of the Quality Assurance and Development Department, met with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Gezira, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, to discuss aspects of cooperation between these faculties in the two universities.
