Mission

The Architecture Program at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Science and Technology, Yemen, seeks to prepare highly qualified professionals capable of meeting the growing needs of the local and regional labor markets in the field of architecture. This is achieved through the implementation of distinguished academic curricula, the use of advanced teaching technologies, and the engagement of highly competent faculty members who uphold creativity, excellence, academic integrity, and continuous improvement. The program is also committed to conducting applied scientific research that addresses real-world challenges and contributes to serving the environment and society. In addition, it provides students with practical training opportunities in institutions, companies, governmental bodies, and ministries, with the aim of linking theoretical knowledge to professional practice and strengthening the relationship between the university and the wider community..

Course Plan

The Bachelor of Architecture program is offered with a credit hour system. The duration of the program is 4 years, including 147 hours of study. The teaching medium depends on the use of English for the specialized subjects, and Arabic for the requirements.

  • Preparing qualified scientific competencies, capable of contributing to community service in the field of architecture and planning.
  • To identify the problems that society suffers from in the field of architecture, planning, and housing, and to conduct research and scientific studies appropriate to them.
  • Participating in scientific seminars and specialized conferences in the field of architecture, with particular emphasis on the preservation of historic cities and the sustainable development of local building materials.

  •  Providing technical and professional consultancy services to various public, private, and civil society sectors; offering specialized training and professional development opportunities that contribute to community development; and establishing mutually beneficial relationships with other architecture departments and international architectural associations.
