With a magnificent official and academic presence, the University of Science and Technology - Aden, which is the best university in Yemen and one of the most prominent private Yemeni universities, held a joyful celebration on the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary, under the slogan "We are proud of our achievements and look forward to the future", this morning, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 AD, in the main center.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of guests and personalities, including: Professor Dr. Hussein Basalama, former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Jamil Abdul Wahid, Undersecretary ministry learning High And research Scientific, and heads of private and public universities, and leaders of the local authority in the Yemeni governorate of Aden, as well as leaders of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and a large number of other figures with an active presence in society. The University of Science and Technology was the focus of everyone's attention, as it is considered one of the best universities in Yemen and enjoys a prestigious reputation among Yemeni universities.

The ceremony began with an opening, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the university anthem, then a documentary film about the University of Science and Technology was shown, summarizing its most important milestones and achievements over the thirty years since its establishment. In the founders’ speech, Professor Daoud Abdulmalik Al-Hadabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, spoke about the establishment of the University of Science and Technology in Yemen, reviewing the stages it went through during its inception, starting from its formation as an ambitious idea in the minds of its founders, then its realization on the ground; thanks to God first, then thanks to the efforts of the founders. He pointed to the university’s pioneering role in providing specializations at the University of Science and Technology that meet the needs of the local and regional market, which made it the best university in Yemen.
This was followed by a beautiful artistic segment that was appreciated by the attendees. It was followed by a speech by the local authority of Aden Governorate, delivered by Mr. Mishaal Al-Daari, Director General of Economic Development in Aden Governorate, in which he conveyed the congratulations of the Minister of State, Governor of Aden Governorate, to the University of Science and Technology on this occasion, and his wishes for the university to continue to succeed. Then came the speech of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivered by Dr. Jamil Abdul Wahid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where he congratulated the University of Science and Technology on the occasion of this anniversary, praising the successes achieved by the university since its establishment until now, and the important roles it has played in all scientific, research and service levels for society, commending the university's outputs of qualitative human cadres that have contributed to the development of the country in various fields. The speeches were concluded with a speech by the Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, Prof. Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, who touched upon the university’s journey and the achievements it has made throughout its years that are witnessed by everyone, saying that today we at the university are facing a historic turning point, as we recall the past three decades of the university’s life, determined to continue on the same path, in order to achieve the slogan of this precious anniversary “We are proud of our achievements and look forward to the future.” After that, the ceremony ended with a closing segment. During the ceremony, a magazine issued by the University of Science and Technology was distributed to the attendees in celebration of its thirtieth anniversary.
