Launching of the Master of Dental Sciences Program

The University of Science and Technology - Main Center Aden launched the Master of Dental Sciences Program, under the supervision of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and the Deanship of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. In the presence of the Acting President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdulghani Hamid Ahmed, the Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, the Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi, as well as the Head of the Department of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Samah Al-Amri, the Supervisor of the Master's Program, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Rajih, and a number of faculty members, administrative and academic staff at the university.

The inauguration ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran. Then, Professor Abdulghani Hamid delivered a welcoming speech to the master's students enrolled in the program, stressing in his speech the importance of continuing postgraduate studies, in light of the competition in the fields of dentistry to provide the best service to the community. Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi also delivered a speech in which he welcomed the students enrolled in the program, urging them to be serious and persevere, and keen to acquire information. In his speech, Dr. Munir Al-Abbadi emphasized the leading academic reputation of the University of Science and Technology, and the precedence it achieved through the opening of the Master's Program in Dental Sciences, which began in 2008, as it was the first among dental colleges in Yemen to open the program. After that, the Head of the Department of Dentistry and the Master's Program Officer referred to the developed and modern study plan, which was prepared in light of references from leading regional and international universities, with the university keen to ensure that the study plan is consistent with local, regional and international accreditation bodies. The attendees congratulated all dentists enrolled in the Master's program; On the occasion of their acceptance into the program.

The Master of Dental Sciences program at the University of Science and Technology includes a number of specializations, such as orthodontics, gum diseases and surgery, dental prosthetics, oral surgery, dental implants, pediatric dentistry, and conservative and restorative treatment. The program is implemented by a group of professors and specialists from inside and outside Yemen, who hold higher degrees and have extensive experience in various fields of dentistry.
