Workshop to develop the PhD program in Business Administration

The College of Administrative and Human Sciences, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and Development Department, organized the “External Workshop to Discuss the Vision, Mission, Objectives and Learning Outcomes of the Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration Program,” which comes within the procedures for developing the Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration Program. 

The workshop was attended by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a number of experts specializing in business administration from five Yemeni universities, in addition to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a number of private sector companies, and the students graduating from the program, and students wishing to join the program. 

The workshop was attended from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research by: Prof. Khaled Basalim, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Educational Affairs, Dr. Lotfi Khambri, Director General of Private Education Institutions, and Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Wasie, Advisor to the Ministry. The workshop was also attended from the university by: Dr. Munir Ahmed Al-Abbadi, Assistant President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Muammar Mohammed Al-Qatibi, Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, the Deanship of the Colleges of Administrative Sciences and Humanities, the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, the scientific departments of the College of Administrative Sciences and Humanities, and its academic staff.

The workshop was attended by the private sector: Mr. Ashraf Mohammed Khanbari, Deputy Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and also included the International Islamic Solidarity Bank and Al-Qatibi Islamic Bank for Microfinance. 

A number of graduates of the programme, as well as a number of students wishing to join the programme, also participated in the workshop.

The workshop topics were discussed by all attendees, and the comments were referred to the Program Development Committee for review and action.

The workshop was held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM, in the seminar hall of the university building.
