Under the auspices of the Acting President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Ghani Hamid Ahmed, and in cooperation with the Umbrella Development Foundation, on Thursday corresponding to 20221124 AD, a joint meeting was held that brought together the students of the College of Engineering and Science.

Under the patronage of the Acting President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, and in cooperation with the Umbrella Development Foundation, on Thursday 11/24/2022, a joint meeting was held between students of the College of Engineering and Computer Science for the following specializations: Information Technology, Information Systems, Graphic Design and Multimedia, and for the levels: Second, Third, Fourth, and between many companies working in the field of software and media marketing.

During the meeting, the requirements of the labor market and its need for qualified graduates in many programming and graphic design fields were identified, as well as ways to develop and update curricula to meet the needs of the labor market. The companies reviewed the work environment that students face after graduation.

The company representatives also discussed ways of joint cooperation between software companies and marketing companies and the University of Science and Technology through training and qualifying students and preparing them for the labor market. 

The meeting was attended by Prof. Abdul Ghani Hamid, Acting President of the University, who welcomed the companies and congratulated the first step on the right path to creating a twinning between the university and the labor market, Assistant President of the University for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qatibi, Dr. Nasr Al-Saqqaf, Dean of the College of Engineering and Computers, Mr. Nazem Al-Haddad, Head of the Computers Department, and a number of department heads and university students.

From outside the university, Ms. Reem Al-Sufi, Executive Director of Umbrella Development Foundation, attended a group of companies participating in the meeting, including: Infosoft Information Technology Company, U Software Company, Share Company, Balfaqeeh Company, Nora Marketing and Consulting Company, BB Software and Information Systems Company, and Guadara Company.

At the end of the meeting, university students asked many questions related to the requirements of the labor market in the programming fields.
