Holding a ceremony honoring the first students
Under the auspices of the Acting President of the University of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr.. Abdul Ghani Hamid Ahmed, and in the presence of the University President’s Assistant for Student Affairs, Dr. Munir Al-Abadi, and the University President’s Assistant for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muammar Al-Qutaibi, deans of faculties, heads of scientific departments and faculty members, the University of Science and Technology - Headquarters Aden this morning, honored the top students in various disciplines and scientific programs for the academic year 2019/2020 and the academic year 2020/2021.
At the ceremony held on this occasion, the Acting President of the University delivered a speech at the outset congratulating the students and their families for the excellence they had achieved, stressing the university’s interest in providing everything necessary to make the educational process in accordance with academic quality standards, in order to obtain distinguished outputs, and meet the needs of current and future business, as well. He referred to the university's special interest in the top students, and gave them a set of incentives that increase constructive competition among students, including honoring the top students on an annual basis.
On this distinguished occasion, the Acting President of the University gifted the excellence that the University has achieved to distinguished students, to all students and members of the University, to the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and to the local authority. The Acting President of the University noted that this distinction was achieved within only one year of transferring its main center to Aden. It is an additional confirmation of the development pursued by the university at the level of infrastructure, at the level of academic staff, administrative staff, modern educational and research equipment, and consequently at the level of community service.
At the conclusion of his speech, Hamid reiterated his congratulations to the students and their families for this distinction, wishing them excellence and superiority in the following years, stressing that the university’s excellence is an added value for its students, and their distinction is the focus of the university’s attention as they are partners of excellence and success.
