Dentistry has been taught at USTY for more than 15 years. Our faculty is considered the leading dental faculty in Yemen and highly regarded throughout the Republic. Due to the increasing demand for dental education, the faculty has been expanded to teach many dental areas such as Fixed Prosthodontics , Fixed Prosthodontics, Operative Dentistry, Esthetic Dentistry, Endodontics , Clinical Comprehensive Practice, Prosthetic Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Periodontology, etc. since 1999, more than 16 intakes have been graduated from the dental faculty and provided the community with professional dentists. The faculty offers two degree programs: bachelor of 5 years plus 1 year internship in the dental clinics of the faculty and diploma of 2 years plus 6 month internship



Dental leadership and professional dentists regionally and internationally.


 The dental faculty's mission is provide leadership and to strive for excellence locally, regionally and internationally in scholarly activities related to dental research and clinical care for the community. This is achieved by producing highly qualified dentists with professional skills and dental knowledge.


  1. Provide leadership in dental education and training to ensure high standards and efficiency of dentists.
  2. Develop curricula and course structures to ensure the student’s engagement in the self-learning process and development of continuing education to meet the standards of quality and accreditation
  3. Provide oral and dental health services to the people through dental clinics in the college.
  4. Enhance skills of faculty members to keep pace with the developments in the methods of teaching and learning process.
  5. Activate the partnership and development of relations with the other dental colleges/peers and institutions of scientific research worldwide.
  6. Contact with the graduates of the college and link them with the college to develop their research and professional expertise and skills
