About program


Nowadays, Graphic Design and Multimedia (GDM) program is considered as a new program that is a leadership profession serving mass media communication and corporations. The program aims to support the local and regional market with competent graduates who are able to generate ideas and solutions based on critical and analytical thinking as well as provide them with the technical and professional skills needed in the work of 2D and 3D designs in addition to the innovation interactive solutions using multimedia techniques and applications.

Graphic Design and Multimedia program aims to be a pioneering and accredited program recognized locally and regionally as well as adapting the rapid technology changes and labor market needs in the area of graphic design and multimedia.

Program Mission

Graphic Design and Multimedia program prepares well qualified graduates with a high level of imagination, creative thinking, and analytical skills. Additionally, provide these graduates with knowledge and professional skills to become determined competent and confident of their abilities and potentials in the field of graphic design and multimedia, including works on improving the performance of graphic design and multimedia discipline locally and regionally.

 The program aims to:

 

1- Provide students with knowledge and concepts associated with design process and related to critical and analytical thinking in order to support the labor market with confident and solid-background designers.

 

2- Provide students with a combination of creative and technical skills so that they can apply to design and interactive media solutions considering the ethical and professional issues in the field.

 

3-Build the abilities of students to design and implement real-life projects that meet labor market needs using 2D and 3D design techniques with effective sound and visual effects.

 

4- Create and reinforce the communication, creative and imaginative skills of students.

 

5- Collaborate with businesses in the market and offer them high quality training and consultancy as needed.

 

6- Motivate students to do research and self-learning with the aim of realizing the rapid advances of technology in this field.

Graphic Design program can lead you to rewarding job opportunities. Graduates of the Graphic Design program work as designers and creative directors. Multimedia Artists produce video art for gallery exhibits, design for the web, and produce interactive CD ROMs. In addition, Graduates may work in advertising and design corporates, radio and television stations, film industry, publishing houses, printing presses, magazines and daily newspapers, various universities and institutions and many others.
