About program

The program of Computer Networks at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology was founded in 2008 to fulfill the growing market needs for networking, whether administrators, programmers, analysts, or support staff. The program offers a bachelor program in computer science specified for computer networks based on a modern four-year curriculum that the first two years provides a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of the areas of computer science and the last two year provides a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of the areas of computer networks. The bachelor degree is awarded after successful completion of 136 credit hours. The program has a number of highly-qualified faculty members specialized in a broad range of areas in the field of computer science and networking.

:Program Goals

Computer Networks Program aims to:

1-  equip students with sufficient knowledge of basic sciences for computing disciplines and supporting sciences relevant to networking.

2-  provide students with a broad education in computer networks with a special emphasis on the technical specification, design, implementation, management, and administration of computer networks.

3-  develop academic and professional skills to allow for opportunity to study at higher levels and enhance career development, which satisfy the academic quality standards, prepare students for direct employment or postgraduate study and meet the needs of the local and regional labor market.

4-  equip students with the knowledge necessary to understand the ethical and environmental issues they will encounter in industry in general.
