Dean's Message 

   Dear friends,

 I am privileged to welcome you in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Science, and Technology. This faculty since the establishment has aimed to contribute positively to the service of the community by providing the students with the administrative, economic, and accounting sciences, aiming to produce capable workforces to the labor market with specialized scientific skills and knowledge in the fields of business administration, international commerce, marketing and production management, accounting and finance, and financial and banking sciences, as well as the English program, which offers bachelor's degree in business administration. Thus, the ultimate goal we all seek is to provide a conducive educational ambiance for the students. This is achieved by adopting the basics and sophisticated university curricula coped up with the requirements of the modern era. Based on the foregoing, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences always strives to develop its academic plans and course structures to keep pace with the scientific development in accordance with the well-known international authorities of academic accreditation. The Faculty also strives to fulfill its responsibilities to meet the needs of all parties related to the educational process such as students, staff, and community. In addition, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences has significant contributions to the graduation of post-graduate students (master and PhD). It is still offering the master's degree in business administration (MBA) in collaboration with Open University, Malaysia (OUM). The Faculty is also willing to resume offering master's degree and PhD program in business administration, marketing, and production management very soon.

Once again, I welcome the visitors of the website of the faculty, which highlights the reality and progress of this faculty in the scientific and educational field as one of the institutions involved in the process of construction and development required by the country. As the Dean of the faculty, I would present my special thanks and appreciation to the faculty members and other staff in the faculty for their incessant efforts. I also urge the students in this faculty to work hard and dedicate their efforts to exploit all they have learned to serve their community and country.

Faculty of Administrative Sciences

 

Faculty of Administrative Sciences is a faculty of the university education and a source of knowledge at the University of Science and Technology. Since this faculty was established, it aims to produce and qualify capable human resources to meet the growing needs of the various administrative disciplines domestically and regionally.

To become a pioneering faculty regionally and distinctive internationally in the administrative disciplines.

Faculty of Administrative Sciences strives to provide distinctive educational training and consulting services, which contribute positively to the development of the society and meet the requirements of the local, regional, and international labor markets, through excellent academic and administrative abilities and motivating educational and research environment in accordance with the comprehensive quality systems.

Strategies of the Faculty

-         Continue to meet the requirements of the international standards of ISO 9001-2000.

-         Develop the administrative, accounting, and linguistic skills of the students and staff of the faculty by implementing programs in the faculty and offering professional certification.

-         Establish new types of education such as education in the evening and collaborative learning.

-         Establish new programs and disciplines to meet the requirements of the market.

-         Achieve a better level of marketing for the academic programs inside and outside the faculty by means available.

-         Adopt more lab equipment and technical requirements of the educational process. 

-          Use the information network and internet and activate the communication between the deanship and departments of the faculty and the top management of the university, as well as other faculties and facilities of the university.

-         Promote the use of technology in education and learning.

Mission

The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences strives to contribute effectively to the continuous improvement of the systems and programs of the faculty in accordance with the local, regional, and international standards. This shall be achieved in order to uphold the values of distinctiveness and achieve the aspirations of the beneficiaries.

Objectives

1-     Inculcate the culture of quality and accreditation for all staff of the university

2-     Complete the special requirements of the internal and external academic and institutional accreditation.

3-     Contribute to the development of education system at the university in accordance with the locally and internationally certified standard.

4-     Continuous assessment of the performance in all respects and follows up the processes of quality improvement.

5-     Create a comprehensive and complete database for the university.

6-     Provide the decision makers with the documents and information to contribute to making appropriate decisions for the continuous improvement.

7-     Conduct researches in relation to the quality assurance and accreditation.

8-     Establish a relationship with the local, regional, and international institutions, bodies, organizations on quality.

9-     Improve the learning outcomes and support the competitive capacities.

10-Increase the confidence of the local, regional, and international community in the outcomes of the university.

11-Contribute to achieve the continuing vocational growth for the faculty members and administrators at the university.

 

By doing so, the objectives of the quality at the faculty level are focused on the following:

1-      Establish internal system for quality and academic accreditation in the college.

2-     Create and develop referential standards for the performance in all programs.

3-     Follow up the description of programs and study course structures in the college.

4-     Inculcate the culture of quality and accreditation among teachers and students.

5-     Interest standards and quality of assessment in the college.

6-     Work together with the college staff to uphold the performance level of its graduates.  

7-     Provide documents and guidebooks and quality manuals.

 

Responsibilities of Quality Assurance Unit in the College

1-                 Contribute to spread the culture of comprehensive quality and concepts of quality assurance and accreditation systems by conducting lectures, symposiums and training courses in coordination with the management of quality assurance at the university.

2-                 Introduce the unit and its activities related to quality improvement in all components of learning environment.

3-                 Re-prepare regular reports on the activities of the unit and present them to the management of quality assurance at the university.

4-                 Contribute to write the basic documents of the quality assurance system (guidebook of policies and procedures…….etc) according to the requirements of quality assurance.

5-                 Determine the training needs for teaching staff and report the management of quality assurance and development.

6-                 Determine the necessary committees and work teams to apply the procedures of quality in the college and report the management of quality assurance and development.

7-                 Document the statistical information of the main components related to the educational system (inputs – processes – outcomes – feedback) and provide them for the related authorities and based on the certified model of the management of quality assurance and development.

8-                 Save the plans of colleges and academic and administrative departments including their objectives, procedures, and work models in these colleges…..etc.
